Our stay at Arena Lodge was amazing! The hotel is new, modern, and very nice. The rooms were spacious with a super balcony and a comfortable bathroom. The room service was impeccable, with the room being cleaned multiple times a day. The food was delicious, especially the dinners. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel at home. The hotel's own beach was also a great addition. an excellent experience!
Not one thing.

This is my best experience as a traveler. I had the chance to go many resorts, picnic islands and sandbanks in their excursions at very low price. The food is great and had many seafood dishes. Number one fresh Juices in the island. Big rooms with windows open to the garden. We will come back again next year to the same room.
The only thing was there was a little bit of rain during August in the Maldives.

The hotel offers excellent value for money with reasonable prices for their services. The staff are friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure guests have a pleasant experience. The basic amenities in the rooms, including Wi-Fi and TV, are well-maintained and kept very clean. The breakfast served, along with a refreshing drink, is a wonderful way to start the day.
All aspects of this hotel were satisfactory.

Mohammed, the manager of these 2 Arena Lodge Maldives compounds (6+6 double rooms) is a street-smart but honest guy who takes care of all your needs right off your boat arrival. Accomodation includes wi-fi, a/c, hot water, just consider as final amount charges of your stay 2x the fees you calculate on Booked.net. Resort trips are usd 30/person for transportation + usd 20/person entrance fee on average, there are total 6 resort trips offered (2 cheap, 2 normal, 2 expensive), speedboat from Male is usd 150/one way, the public ferry option to Maafushi is something you really do not want to consider... I would not suggest to stay longer than 7 nights.
Generally speaking Maldivian people are not friendly and quite uneffective despite the paradise they live in. Plus, Maafushi island was not open to tourists up to 2010, so there are lots of construction works going on, sewer areas, no bikini policy and perhaps foreigners are still seen as "intruders". Keep in mind there are loud Muslim prayers at 6am, 1pm, 7 pm. Mosque is just behind Arena Lodge...but it is just for 2 minutes/time. I did not quite understand why more than 50% of guests were Russian, let's say this unfortunately does not give a high-end approach to this hotel.

Spent Easter weekend at a cozy guest house in Maldives. the breakfast spread was satisfying, and we especially loved the local dishes. the nearby beach and restaurants are just a short walk away. We enjoyed the island vibe, there is no rush here. One of the highlights was snorkelling among the coral reef, truly spectacular!
The room was small, and the bedding was not as comfortable as we would have liked. the bathroom facilities were basic, and there was no hot water.

I recently had a fantastic stay at this hotel in the Maldives. the value for money was exceptional, especially considering the beautiful location and attentive staff. Secondly, the rooms, although a bit basic, were kept impeccably clean and had all the necessary facilities, including a TV. Finally, the breakfast, accompanied by a refreshing drink, was delicious and helped start my day on a high note.
All was fine, couldn't ask for more.

Spent Xmas time at this hotel and had a great time. The hotel offers free drinks upon arrival which was a nice touch. It's located close to the beach and right in the center of the town which was convenient. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean and tidy. Loved the complimentary breakfast, especially the fresh fruits and the local cuisine. the hotel offers excursions to some beautiful neighboring islands where one can explore the Maldivian culture.
No major issues to report, but some parts of the hotel were undergoing renovations during my stay which was a bit noisy at times. , the hot water in the shower was not always consistent.
